Sean Nagel, LMSW, graduated from the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work with a focus on mental health and a subconcentration in military social work. Sean is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and has lived throughout most of the country in a variety of populations. Seeing the commonality of problems like anxiety, depression, and substance use along with a desire to help is what led Sean to social work. He prefers an eclectic approach to treatment, finding the method that works best for the client. He prioritizes cognitive behavioral therapy but incorporates motivational interviewing, mindfulness, breath work, guided imagery, narrative therapy, and visualization when appropriate.
He believes in the strength and resiliency of the human mind. Given the right tools, the right supports, and a chance to recover he believes there is little an individual cannot overcome.
